Anupam Kher’s Mother, Brother, Sister-In-Law And Niece Test Positive For COVID-19; Actor's Report Comes Negative
Just a few hours back,  Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan shared with their followers on Twitter that they had tested positive for the novel Coronavirus. Now we have got to know that Anupam Kher's mother, brother Raju Kher, Raju's wife and daughter, have also tested positive for COVID-19. Anupam Kher also took the test, he has tested negative for it. The news was shared by the Special 26 actor who took to his Instagram account and informed his friends and well-wishers about the same. He mentioned that after his mother was experiencing loss of appetite, he then took her to the doctor where they did her CT scan, however, upon testing, they found out that she was mildly COVID positive and was admitted to Kokilaben Hospital.

Informing the same, he shared an IGTV on his feed and wrote a long caption, giving us more details about the same. His note read, "Covid and my family I would like to inform friends, well-wishers and everyone else that I had taken my mother for a check-up yesterday, as she had been experiencing loss of appetite. On doctor’s recommendation, we took her for CT Scan to rule out any medical issue. Upon testing, she was found mildly Covid +. Owing to her age, we have admitted her into Kokilaben Hospital. She is doing fine."

He also mentioned that his other family members tested positive, while his reports came negative.  "Three other members (my brother, his wife and my niece) have also tested mildly positive. I got myself tested as well and I have tested negative. The family has self-quarantined themselves and we have informed the BMC."

He then urged everyone to get their parents tested even if they show slightest symptoms. "I would like to reach out to everyone with aged parents - please get your parents tested even if they show the slightest of symptoms. Despite the extreme amount of carefulness displayed by my brother and his family over the last few months, they still tested positive. So I urge everyone to take this seriously and understand that no amount of safety measures are enough. Friends, don’t let your guards down. Let’s be vigilant, let’s be aware and let’s fight the bad times together. #stayhome #staysafe #DulariWillStillRock @rajukherofficial @kherreema @vrindakher," his note concluded.
